The Family Support Group & Network Committee is a parent-centred initiative that is funded by the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.  They are committed to supporting grassroots parent groups as they endeavor to provide helpful support and idea-sharing for families with children or youth with health conditions. The funds allocated to the FSGN Committee by BC Children’s Hospital Foundation (BCCH Foundation), are disbursed to parent groups who offer direct parent-to-parent support. These groups stand apart from established organizations with broader mandates of public education and research, which have paid staff and are able to carry out fundraising initiatives of their own. These grassroots groups often depend on the energy of one or two parents, already coping with the additional care required by a child or youth with a health condition

As a parent led organization, the Autism Support Network greatly appreciates the support provided by the by the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Family Support Group and Network.  The annual grant we receive goes directly into educational, support and networking events for parents in BC.
